Drill Company is for dancers that aspire to be on a competitive dance/drill team. The Drill Company enables dancers to advance their dance skills and technique in a nurturing environment, while developing team skills, fostering a positive self image, and promoting a passion for dance. Company members excel in precision dance forms of jazz, pom, kick, lyrical, contemporary, modern, novelty, and hip hop.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the drill company is to transform dancers into skilled athletic artists to prepare them for high school drill team, collegiate competition dance/drill/pom teams, and professional dance teams.

Teams are divided by age as of August 31, 2022: Tiny (5-6 y/o), Mini (7-9 y/o), Youth (10-12 y/o), Junior (13-15 y/o), and Senior (16-18 y/o). Teams dance at the level of the oldest dancer on the team; the director will make company leveling selections. Per director discretion, dancers may be allowed to dance up ONE level but may still be responsible for dances with their age-appropriate team.
Drill Company dancers audition each year for their placement for the upcoming season. Audition are MAY 11-12 AND JULY 27-28. There is an audition fee of $50. Private auditions are available. All requests for private auditions must be emailed to didrillco@danceindustry.net. All company dancers are auditioned each year for their placement for the following season and required to sign a contract that binds them for the full season.
All Black: bike shorts & black crop top or leotard
Hair in ponytail or bun
Bring ballet, hip hop, and jazz/pirouette shoes

6-15 hours of weekly technique classes and rehearsals: Tiny=2 hours; Mini=7; Youth=7; Juniors/Seniors=7.5; Juniors/Seniors on HS Drill Team=6.5
4-6 dance/drill competitions
1-2 dance conventions
1-2 community performances
Annual Dance Revue
Additional rehearsals and/or gym rehearsals
The amount of convention/competitions will vary depending on age but most teams will attend
approximately 4/5 conventions and competitions. The conventions always include a competition.
Competitions/Conventions are mandatory.The director decides the casting of solos/duets/trios, which are open to all veteran drill company dancers.
New drill company dancers may be eligible based on previous dance company training experience.
